Matt "The Hammer" Hamill is a mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter and amateur wrestler. He best known for being a contestant on the third season of The Ultimate Fighter televised on Spike TV in association with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Matthew S. Hamill was born on October 5th 1976 in Cincinnati Ohio and was born deaf. He attended Loveland High School (1992 to 1995) where he began wrestling. He also attended the Rochester Institute of Technology (1996 to 1998)in Rochester, New York and during that time, he was the NCAA Division III National Champion in wrestling on 3 occasions. On of his better recognized moments was on The Ultimate Fighter where he be Jesse Forbes by TKA during the finale of the 3rds season. He went on to beat Rex Holman at UFC 68: The Uprising and Seth Petruzelli at Ortiz vs. Shamrock 3: The Final Chapter.
